The Costumers Spring Picnic 2022
Join us for a day of historical costume and camaraderie in Nottinghamshire!
Our day will begin with a picnic on the grounds of Newstead Abbey, followed by a tour of the historic house, and photos and walks in the gardens.
In the evening we'll be sitting down to a delicious pub dinner in the ancient Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem pub; England's oldest inn. It's quaint and quirky cave rooms, built into the cliffs upon which Nottingham Castle sits, are steeped in history.
- Bring your own picnic and blanket.
- Bring your camera or phone to take plenty of photos.
- Please come along in historical costume where possible; this is a costuming meetup after all. Historybounding is encouraged for our guests who may find casual clothes more comfortable. Many of us will also be changing costumes between the house visit and dinner.
- Early April in Britain can be chilly. Dress appropriately for the weather and don't take any chances.
