Our day began with a visit to Bankfield Museum, to visit the Fashion Galleries. On display were numerous pieces of historical costume, as well as costume produced for television shows such as Pride & Prejudice (1995), Victoria (2016–2019) and Bridgerton (2020–present), and films including Emma (2020).

The museum also boasts a collection of costumes from BBC's Gentleman Jack (2019–2022).

In the afternoon, we visited Shibden Hall, historic home of the industrialist and LGBTQ+ icon Anne Lister, and filming location for the BBC period drama based on her life, Gentleman Jack.

Shibden has lots of fascinating rooms to explore, as well as the West Yorkshire Folk Museum in the adjoining barn.

We got to have an exclusive visit to Anne Lister's tower room.

We then returned to our hotels to get changed into our best dinner attire. Our evening meal was at the Trading Rooms, Halifax, where we enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal and drinks.

Thank you to Gemma for organising the weekend, and to everyone who joined us. We can't wait to see you all at the next Guild event!
